A website ages faster than you'd think. Here are six signs a redesign deserves your attention.
1. It isn't comfortable to use on a phone
Text too small, buttons crammed together, horizontal scrolling. Mobile visitors leave.
2. You're embarrassed to send it
If you hesitate to share your website address with a prospect, that's a clear signal.
3. It doesn't generate any requests
A website that produces neither calls nor form submissions is an expensive business card.
4. It no longer reflects your services
You've added services, changed your clientele or your prices, but the website still tells the old story.
5. You can't update it yourself
Every text change means calling someone and waiting for weeks.
6. It's slow or not secure
No padlock in the address bar (HTTPS), pages that take ages to load: Google and visitors notice.
Before you rebuild
Keep what works: pages that get traffic, well-ranked copy, existing page addresses. A redesign that changes every address without redirects can wipe out your search rankings.
A redesign is an opportunity
Take the chance to add online booking, a better-qualifying form or a client area.
